Hi, Well it's one problem after another. Thanks, Dave, for your suggestions concerning trying to revive my inaccessible e-mail messages from my OE 4.5 inbox. I did try Microsoft Self Repair but to no avail. I will try everything else you suggested though and let you know.
New problem. Since I was repeatedly getting this error message telling me there was something wrong with two of the partitions on my newly installed IDE drive, I decided to re-initialize the drive and re-install OS 9.1 on it. I'm booting up from the original SCSI drive of my S900 using a mac OS8.6 ALL extensions setting as recommended and attempting to install 9.1 from the Installation CD which I got from OWC. It worked before, but now I keep getting an error message saying a certain file can't be accessed. Each time I try the installation it's a different file. And now after a number of restarts and trying different settings of enabled extensions the IDE drive doesn't show up as being recognized. If I mount the drive using FWB mounter, when I attempt to install OS9.1 I get a message saying the drivers can't be updated because the drive was formatted w/ a non-apple utility.
