I wanted to get the SIIG card but couldn't find one locally, so opted for
the Sonnet. I thought I had read that the 133 version didn't have the 8GB
limit though.

Oddly enough, my computer booted the OS9.1 partition on it's own last night
- when somehow the drive with OS9.2.2 disappeared temporarily.

Are you running the DVD-R drive from the same bus as your hard drive? I have
set it hooked up to a separate bus and so far have discovered if the DVD-R
is running as slave, at least it doesn't lock up the computer on boot. But
still no joy in actually seeing a CD or DVD loaded into it. What are you
using for CD/DVD extension?

Just a thought - is the fact that OS9.1 on a partition >after< the first 8GB
maybe an issue? Or is this only a problem with an OSX install?
