Orange Micro USB/Firewire (yes, for some reason mine has worked
flawlessly
OS 8.5-9.1)
MAudio Audiophile 2496 (lets me sample my vinyl at DVD audio quality -
still trying to
get it to work)
I have followed the posts on upgrading to OSX and it seems that no one
has been able to get a combo USB/firewire to work on our machines. If
there is someone out there with aOSX and a combo USB/firewire card that
works, let me know.
So, if I upgrade to OSX, then I will have to replace the USB/firewire
with separate cards?
If I do this, then I will be stuck with the SCSI internal drives. I
will need firewire since I intend to export my vinyl AIFF files to a
large external firewire drive. I need USB to run my printer and mouse.
I would like to replace my SCSI drives with a large ATA drive.
Are there combo cards with USB and ATA or Firewire and ATA that work on
our machines. Sonnet has the Trio but I don't know if that works on our
machines running OSX.
I could leave the J700 as a jukebox controller for the AIFF files but I
would rather not make it a single purpose machine.
