I have installed the drivers that came with the Card [ 1.4.1]

Did you install the USB drivers contained on the OS9.1(or8.6?) install
disc? They are also available as a download from Apple. They don't
automatically install unless a USB card is present when the system is
first installed. These should be different from the printer drivers. Paul C.
