Having tried to burn to a blank DVD with Toast I see what you mean - two
error codes returned, something about a sense error IIRC.

For a quick test I have a FW box with a LiteOn CD burner in, but I would
prefer to have the DVD built-in for tidiness.

I guess that the cards you mention are seen as IDE by the system and not
SCSI as the Acard is? I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised that the
DVD-RW didn't immediately swing into action :-(
