I have a Umax S900 with a Tsunami motherboard. I put in a D-Link 10/100 ethernet adapter and cannot get Apple System Profiler to recognise it. The user manual isn't any use. D-Link provides a MacOS 9 driver for this adapter, but it's not working unless the system can recognise this card. (The card is OK because it was working fine in a PC before.)

The built-in ethernet port of the Umax is actually on a riser card, but I cannot remove it because it also contains the printer and modem ports. I suspect if I can somehow inactivate the built-in ethernet port, the system might recognise the D-Link card. There's probably a jumper somewhere I need to set, but I have no idea where. I've tried deep zapping the PRAM, and pressing the reset button on the motherboard without avail. I've also tried shuffling the D-LInk card around the PCI slots.

Anyone can help please?
