I have done some more work on my s900 and non-functioning Toast. First I was able to burn a copy of 9.2.2 update smi.
The handoff from Spin Doctor to toast still results in a complete lockup, but now I don't get the "buss error" message. Using coaster to record it reports that its getting mono, although the indicators show two independent channels. The sound out only gets one channel. This condition with the non-functioning s900 speaker has been going on for about a year. Would screwed up sound out result in Spin Doctor either quitting or locking up on the hand off to Toast?
