When I first received my LaCie 19" electrom Blue CRT I plugged it into the PC Video connector on my Twin turbo, which gave me an "out of synch" message. When I upgraded to the ATI Radon 7000 and used the same connection option I received the same message. The Radon did come with an adaptor plug to convert the PC video connector to MAC style- when I used this my problems disappeared. Paul C
I don't think that is the problem here, as it was working okay with the Blue&White monitor, then suddenly started giving me the error message. Something seemed to have changed on the computer side, but I can think of nothing I changed software-wise. That's what leads me to think it's a hardware issue of some type. Especially since both monitors check out okay on another machine.

I've been a lurker here for quite awhile, and this is my first post. I have both a C600 and a DP S900. My problem is with the S900 (duh). Anyway, a while back it wouldn't start with video on my 17" Apple B&W display (said something about "out of synch range" on the screen), but if I plugged it into an old 15" PC monitor it would start with video, then I could unplug the PC monitor, plug the B&W monitor in and turn it on and be okay. It still had the stock video card. Then it suddenly decided to boot to a black screen on the PC monitor. I know the monitor still works because I tried it on an old PC and it was fine. So was the B&W monitor. So I thought that maybe the video card had been going wonky and had died. I then got a Rage Pro 128 out of an old B&W Powermac and tried it. Still no video on either monitor. I have tried swapping the cards to different slots with no success either. I'm sure the machine is booting, as I hear the drives spin up and seek, and the startup chime, but I can't get anything but a black screen. The machine has two drives, with OS 9 on one, and OS 8.6 and BeOS 5 on the other. Could it be the PCI bus on the mainboard has died? A power supply problem? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
TIA
John
