Hey gang--

Anyone know off hand what the jumper settings on a s900 604e CPU card
are? I swapped a G3/400 card from my PowerCenter 132 box and tried
putting the 250 MHz Umax CPU in the Power Computing machine.
Wouldn't boot but there is a row of jumpers at the top of the CPU card
with the first 3 rows jumpered. I figure those jumpers might adjust bus
 speed and/or multiplier. Any ideas?

The Umax CPU cards will not work in any of the Power Computing models except the PowerTower Pro and the PowerWave. So, unless you're trying to use it in one of those models, it isn't going to work. It is the same situation as if you tried to use an Apple made card. The other PCC models require the DERTY (I think it's DERTY, but my memory is hazy) signal which is absent on the Apple and Umax cards.

The connector at the top of the Umax card isn't really a jumper bank. It's a cable connector. When the cable is absent, those three jumpers are installed to compensate for the lack of a cable connected to a Gemini card. But there are no adjustments to be made at that connector.
