Been here before with this problem. I have a G4 in 2
HD's. Main is 80G with three partitions. Auxillary
is 120G in 5 partitions. On the 80G is my main OS's.
10.2, and 9.2.2. I have the same on partition 1 of
the 120G, mostly so I can cross use Norton as it won't
operate on itself. No matter what I consistantly get
the problem message: "Alternate Volumn Header Block
is in error. The last mounted version is invalid".
This even shows up for partitions on which there is
nothing stored, and
shows up immediately after Norton has 'fixed' the
problem.
SYMATEC was no help at all with this problem.
It was suggested to me that I should get rid of Norton
and use Disk Warrior. Suggestions as to other
programs that would replace what Norton does would be
appreciated.
Thank you. Bill Smith
