From the discussion here it seems that the cards with FirmTek firmware do not play well in the lower slots of our S900s. Unless you have one of the top two slots available to devote to a FirmTek card, avoid them and get one of the Acard models.
The FirmTek cards include the VST UltraTek/66, several of the Sonnet cards including the Tempo Trio and perhaps others of which I am not aware.
