Hi All; Thanks Alan for bringing this subject to the list.
Way back when I was designing circuits in the 1950's, a fellow engineer gave me an Audio Transformer wound for a Williamson Ultra Linear circuit. In order to use the transformer, I designed an amplifier using 6550's as the output tubes. As I remember, I used a Starved Pentode circuit for the front end input amplifier which then drove a dual Triode Long-Tailed Pair which drove the output 6550's which were biased AB1 for an output of 100 watts, flat and stable from 5 cps to 100 kcps (cps= old speak for Hertz).
I still have the amplifier and about 50 or so Vacuum Tubes of various types.
If anyone would like more information on the circuits write me off list.
From old geezer,
Ernie
