Hi Folks:
I'm in the process of bringing an S900 back to life/usefulness.

Loaded Netscape 4.7 (Only problem, getting rid of the AIM stuff).

Using a Best Data 56K V.92/V.44 modem, and several of the system
supplied modem descriptors, was able to get 'on-line' fairly reliably.
(connection rates better than with 'WINTEL' system and same modem)
EXCEPT that there would be occasional 'system lockups' [even the
'Netscape' logo stopped cycling]. followed by an 'error message' box
complaining that Netscape had suffered a loss of 'data connection'. Then
everything would continue. Lock up condition would last from seconds to
several minutes. Figured that the problem was possibly related to
'incorrect' modem setup info. So downloaded and installed
"MacaRa_Modem_Magic_5_8" to get a 'correct' modem set info. file. That
did wonders for the connect speed. It now connects reliably at 48000,
almost every time.

BUT, the 'system freeze' problem still seems to be there.

Any ideas?
