Dear List,

The recent discussion of Laser printers with parallel to Usb cables
connected through hubs to OSX systems drew my immediate attention. I have
seen such cables advertised for about twenty dollars at Cyberguys and
wondered if they would work with my older HP 6mp and Optra Rx and Laser Jet
Select printers. The driver question was worrying me but if anyone can
guide me through the steps I would very much like some advice. Also as if
the older deskjets can work this way as well. What would happen in 9.1
without a specific driver?
I have noticed some very strange slowdowns and consant knocking off
the connection on one of my machines that uses Mail, in OS X. Does anyone
have any suggestions about a Mac friendly check for spyware and adware.
Earthlink suggested I look for one when I reported the problem.

        Mark
