Hi Mark, As you've been reading I have a HP Laserjet 6MP connected with a USB to Parallel Cable (Belkin) it works fine on the S900 (10.3.6) and/or a Dell (WIN XP) seems to work fine from either machine, but not as a networking solution for this printer, there seems to be problems with the 10.3.6 upgrade, but I don't want to "reinstall" OSX I may go back to my original IP setup with a mini print server (netgear) after finding this "Link" http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/hpijs/ I haven't solved my printing problem yet this might do it. Regards Phil Meza

I have seen such cables advertised for about twenty dollars at Cyberguys and wondered if they would work with my older HP 6mp and Optra Rx and Laser Jet Select printers. The driver question was worrying me but if anyone can guide me through the steps I would very much like some advice. Also as if the older deskjets can work this way as well. What would happen in 9.1 without a specific driver? I have noticed some very strange slowdowns and consant knocking off the connection on one of my machines that uses Mail, in OS X. Does anyone have any suggestions about a Mac friendly check for spyware and adware. Earthlink suggested I look for one when I reported the problem.
