I thought this might be of interest to some Listers.
Received today a Ratoc SCSI to Firewire converter, which has a Mini-D connector.
This happens to be the same connector on the Nikon LS2000 scanner.
Plugged in the Ratoc, which has two Firewire ports.
Purchased a copy of VueScan professional version and installed it on the G5 DP 2.0.
Fired up the scanner, launched VueScan and voila, it sees the scanner and the LS2000 is back in business.
So...this Ratoc adapter works as claimed, at least for my setup.
