Hi, Nancy -

Go to MacGurus.com, which is where I ordered mine from.
They have some useful info and several other SCSI options.
There is, ofcourse, Raytoc's site.
http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/subpages/firerex1.html

Anyway, for anyone with a OS-X Apple machine with no SCSI, VueScan and the Raytoc is a combination worth considering.
The list of VueScan supported scanners is fairly extensive and it opens up options for picking up a used SCSI scanner instead of a newer USB/Firewire device.
VueScan also allows one to use scanners that are no longer supported in X.

By the way, SuperMac messages have been coming in very whacky these days - arriving in multiples of the same message.

Thanks for the report. I just did a little google research on the Ratoc gizmo, which I had never heard of before your post. Sorry to report that my old SCSI scanner is not worth the cost of a Ratoc. But if one has a really nice scanner it looks like a very worthwhile investment.
