Have you tried the FWB website to ask why their drivers won't work with
that specific drive? Perhaps there is an upgrade to be downloaded?What
message do you get when you try to format it?

so, i recently bought a couple brand new quantum atlas V 9gb LVD scsi
drives that were Dell surplus (cheap). obviously, they have a PC
low-level format. i figured i would have no problem reformating them
w/ FWB's Hard Disk Tool Kit, 'cause the drive i have in there now is a
quantum atlas v. when i wire 'em up, they show up when i scan the
scsi bus (an adaptec 2940U2B in slot #1), but the FWB app refuses to
format them. same goes for apple's Disk Setup Utility.
any suggestions (besides buying the Intech utility)?
