I reset the cuda switch when I installed the Acard. I put it in one of the
lower slots, with the old ATA 166 card in an upper slot. I'm wondering if I
install Jag on the partition first, maybe it will let me put Panther on over
it. The 8 gig thing bugs me, but it isn't the end of the world.

Why do you feel the need to use both ATA cards? I run 3 Hard drives on one ATA crad and could run 4 . If you remove the ATA 66 card I'm sure it could then be flushed from the NVRAM. There is of course as with all things a got you...most likely. Chances are the hard drive on the ATA 66 card sees the drive as ide and the Acard always SCSI. If that is the case you would need to format the drive and reinstall the Mac OS in order to switch the drive from one ATA card to the other. I am not sure from your lack of full info on the card if it is a Sonnet Ultratek ATA 66 or the VST Ultra card. It must be a VST as the Sonnet ATA 66 is one of two Sonnet cards which are made by Acard and would not have the 8GB limit unless you formated the drive in OSX. Details make all the difference :-) Will S
