I have watched with interest the posts regarding trying to get a
processor over 1ghz to work with the Powerlogic zif. I wish I could
have offered some help, but I don't really know anything about this
field.
I currently have a G4/450 running in my Powerlogix zif carrier. I have
been considering getting a G5 tower, but have decided that i have too
much expensive software that runs on OS9 to be able to afford the
switch. I have a G4 iBook from school with a processor over 1ghz. I
recently purchased a Lightscribe dual layer dvd burner. It works fine
with the iBook, but I'd like to get it working with my trusty old S900.
I can burn dvds with the S900, but it takes all night. Also, the
Lightscribe feature requires a G4 processor over 750mhz. What is the
fastest processor that will work in my s900 with my zif carrier? Will
it make much difference in how fast the S900 burns a dvd?
