I use WD Special Edition drives in my computers that need high performance like audio/video editing workstations and servers. I've never had one fail yet, although anyone that tells you brand X NEVER fails isn't living in this reality imho. I'm sure if I keep pushing these drives without replacing them, one will die very soon.
Hard drives fail. I don't care what brand you use. Every three to four years I buy an external drive kit, put my internal drives in the external box and clone them to new internal drives.
