The patient:
S900 w/ Powerlogix 350 G3 running OS 9.1 @ 389MHz, 600 MB ram, 3 2GB SCSI
internal hard drives, 2 Seagate Barrcuda 4XLs and the original.

Not a new problem, for years now the Monitor Control Panel selected
resolution of 1400 X 768 will upon start up randomly revert to a single
default resolution of 640 X 480 with no other option. I must restart
repeatly until it finds the full list and the selected resolution.
What's the fix?

Thanks, Bernie
