a. Try "ping -w 1 -b 192.168.0.255" - if the camera has some other ip you w ill probably get it. When I test cameras I usually assign them ips from 192 .168.0.160 to .169. b. As your camera has usb then it should have a "phone" socket on the side (under a small cover) and also you should have all the cables allowing you to connect your PC's usb to that phone socket (as we usually ship them).The n use minicom - 115200 8N1.
