Hi,

I have a client whose seamonkey v1.1.14 profile got screwed. This happens as they were backing up the files to external hard drive and 'something happened'.

While the size of their inbox and sent files are huge (1.6G and 900M), the corresponding MSF are tiny and it appears like there are no messages.

I can open these files and read the data so I know it is there, but they don't show up in Seamonkey.

Things I have tried (none worked)
- uninstalled Seamonkey v1.1.14 and installed SM 2.0, tried to point to profile folder - in SM 2.0, created a new profile and copied inbox and sent files into the new profile, it takes time to rebuilt the index, but the msf are tiny (2 or 3k) and there are no messages. - uninstalled SM 2.0 and installed SM 1.1.18 and tried everything, but still no messages are found. Again, it appears like the indexes are being rebuilt as it takes time, but there are no messages - tried copying the inbox/sent files to another computer with a known to be good installation of Seamonkey and rebuilt the indexes, same result, no messages - I tried to rename the files to something else (inbox2, a_inbox) and then copy them and rebuilt, the folders show up, their size reports as the huge number expect, but there are still no messages

Other long shots that failed
- I scanned the files for virues and malware and they are clean
- I ran chkdsk on the backup external hard drive but found no problem
