That is not necessary. It can happen when you have checked the box
'Don't delete any messages', which can lead to an increased load while
looking for new postings. Can last several seconds.
If you try to read a posting in that interval, the body will be empty.
I've noticed this on more than a few instances w/2.0& haven't
figured out what the issue is.
The issue is gone since i use 'Delete messages more than 60 days old'.
Infuriating, though, that this setting is needed. The behavior was
caused by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311774.
More often than not, if you close the newsgroup& reopen and/or
restart the msgs will fetch and appear properly.
Clearing the cache should suffice. At least it was so for me.
