When I open SM 2.0.1, the app opens and the command bar at the top of

Not happening here, SM 2.0.1, on Snow Leopard. The browser opens, and
it has focus.
Do you have other applications open when you open SM? Is SM set to open
with the browser, or both browser and mail/news?

I have a periodic problem which I put to bugzilla. That on occasion when
I go to browser it shows about:blank.
That particular problem occurs if I don't have browser check to start on
startup. in preferences
No there is another version of the same problem.
in the new style window for home I am finding SM2/2.0.1 is sometimes
placing a space after the url for the home page. Example:
http://www.kimbanet.com/ is written as http://www.kimbanet.com/<space>
(This indicates a Space) return
I go to my home page then wipe out everything in that box and choose
current page. it writes it correctly and I quit preference setting.
works for a while and I am back to about:blank.
Can any one tell me which about:blank was put in, in in the first place.
Seems I remember a time when there was no such thing as about:blank
I just updated my G5 iMac running Leopard to SM 2.0.1, and is it not
behaving as I describe in the original post - when I open SM, it opens
with the Browser window in front.
The only things I can see I've done different from my Intel iMac and
MacBook Pro are that at present, I do not have SM assigned to a Space
(I'll try that later...) and that I think I got the disk image from
another mirror than I got my previous install from - I have no idea
which mirror(s), but I got my disk image from the SM site in both cases.
...that, and Lep vs Sno-Lep. I'll also try a re-install of 2.0.1 on
both of the two other machines from the disk image I just downloaded.
