Try the PrefBar extension from <http://prefbar.mozdev.org/>. Its User Agent menulist can switch your browser's ID (user agent string, UA string). If you forget to switch back to your real ID, it switches you back automatically when you terminate the browser (or is it when you restart). For an explanation of what is happening, see "Sniffing" at my <http://www.rossde.com/internet/Webdevelopers.html#sniff>. For an explanation of "spoofing" and "UA", see those terms at my <http://www.rossde.com/internet/intr_gloss.html>. In the meantime, inform the owners of the affected sites that they are sniffing incorrectly. See <http://wiki.mozilla.org/User:Sardisson/Gecko_is_Gecko>. Also, on your SeaMonkey menu bar, select [Help > Report Broken Web Site] and report those sites. -- David E. Ross <http://www.rossde.com/> Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
