I tried that for months, I finally gave up and threw the towel on that one set of code I wrote after people would even shoot down my tries of improving things. Working on an open source project ought to be fun or not be done at all. I was far off that, and needed to keep my sanity. There's other places I can work on that should be more fun, I don't have to improve those things where I get poison for every step I take.
