As long as you've made no changes to your 2.X profile which you can't live without, I think the best approach is to delete the 2.X profile completely (back it up first!) and then when you launch SM 2.X again, it will ask to migrate your settings again. This time, the migration will be the final one (assuming it goes well, of course).
