Hello,

I am using Seamonkey since four years I think, (my first
experience has been done at work with the 1.0.2 version
on a SparcStation running Solaris).

Now I use very often the latest version (2.0.4), as a
mailreader or as a browser: and at home the whole family
uses SM on several Mac, and at work I have too 2.0.4 on
my Dell book.

So testing the new Safari release versus SM on my Mac,
I made some performance experiments in order to compare
both browsers.

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that observed results,
using an ADSL connection, are better for Safari 4.0.5, that
is to say 1200ko/sec for Safari and something like 700 800
for Seamonkey, using the same test (provided by SFR a French
internet provider), on the web,

              http://mire.ipadsl.net/

I known that such measurements are very difficult to do, and
the network itself could be the cause of observed difference.

Have you some other explanation for such a mystery?
