*Please* use the BCC: field only!

Thx for the advice. I realize I used "TO" in my original post but
fear not; I always use bcc when sending to more than a few people.
I wish everyone followed this advice.

Thanks for acknowledging that you use BCC:.<g> I too wish more
people (everyone?) knew about that. With the habits of people
"forwarding to everyone in my address book" it is really difficult
to keep a private address private.

The mail server of my ISP told me that i am trying to spam - therefore
he refuse to send my mail.

So how many addresses were you trying to send to? A former ISP of mine
had a limit of 25 recipients, else the message was sidelined. If yours
is one of those ISPs, you'll need to break up your sending to<25 per
message.

Just curious, what is it you are sending? Are you forwarding email
without removing other addresses from the *body* of the message?
(Another no-no.) I regularly send club broadcast bulletins and messages
to well over a hundred (in BCC), but I use a mailserver with my web
host, where no limits are imposed.

My ISP has a limit of ten addresses in any email, anything more and it gets rejected. However, he allows his users to set up mail lists on his server (in their account server space), so, if I wanted, I could set up a list of 100 email addresses, then send my email to this list-address and his server forwards the email to the 100 emails addresses.

Recently, on the other hand, I wanted to send a one-of email to about 50 email addresses. I gave my ISP a phone call, he reworked things his side to turn off the limiting, I sent the email and he re-enable the limiter. (Which reminds me, I've got to sort through my addressbook to remove these unwanted email addresses that were collected, then.)
