If you right click on that in SeaMonkey and copy link location you get:

http://\\mysite.com/

FF is smart beyond being smart... a non-modified FF puts a www in the
pasted url *and* adds the '//' :

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.\\mysite.com.

    *   Check the address for typing errors such as
          ww.example.com instead of
          www.example.com

It changes it to this:
http://www.\\mysite.com/
