As I indicated in an earlier reply in this thread, I updated Flash from 10.1 r53 to 10.1 r82 on 15 Aug (9 days ago). To do that, I went to the Adobe download site, used SeaMonkey to download install_flash_player.exe, terminated SeaMonkey, and installed the new version. There was NO extension, NO involvement by SeaMonkey during the execution of install_flash_player.exe, and NO problem. Then, on 22 Aug (only 2 days ago), I again used SeaMonkey to download install_flash_player.exe from the Adobe download site. Using both MD5 and SHA1 hashes, I determined that this newly downloaded file was identical to the file I archived after my 15 Aug installation.
