I blew out my SM 1.1 (Previous Thread) and now my old E-Mail account
shows up.

This all started when I tried to edit out some OLD SMTP settings in
Mail & Newsgroup Settings.

My question is - how can I get rid of these old SMTP and ISP settings?

If I set up a new account, the old SMTP shows up and I cannot remove it.

Figured it out....wish the Hell I could remember all this detail when I
have another screw-up a year from now !

Too much complexity to remember it all.

Great. But what was the answer to the problem? Someone else here might have a similar issue and want to know.

Mail & Newsgroup Settings | go to bottom and OUTGOING SERVER SMTP

If you have only one (or more) old servers there, then click 'ADD'
and enter the current or correct SMTP in the format of the old ones.

Then highlight the new one and make it the default.

THEN you can erase the old one(s).
