Do the newer versions of SM, now being tested, add a feature to the
Address Book that allows sub-lists of addresses to be assigned
unique properties?
e.g. May a sub-list in Address Book labeled "My Private Addresses"
be assigned an "Always Send BCC" property?
That is preferable to having to remember to flag that sub-list as
BCC on every occasion it is used.
WDYT?
Thanks!
Sounds like an idea worth pursuing. I usually use the "Address"
button on the Compose window, select the list and click the BCC move
button since I don't always remember the list name until I see it.
If I could remember all the list names, I'd probably forget to select
the BCC option when entering the name in the field manually. (:<
Let's say that I am distributing information to a somewhat broad range
of people, some of whom do not often see eye-to-eye, and some who are
prone to argue about everything.
I am very busy and often jump on and off the computer to perform certain
tasks -- the odds of me forgetting to click BCC are high.
So, I create a sub-list with a simple name, say goodstuff1.
If I could just flag that sublist so that when selected it always
comes up as BCC it would keep me from accidentally exposing all of their
E-mail addresses to each other -- perhaps causing some to
leave the list because they see someone they do not like -- or
someone to get a private E-mail that was entrusted to me but not
to be shared, or someone to pick a fight with someone else about
the materials I sent to everyone, etc.
The need is very real and I am certain not unique to me!
WDYT?
