I am not a programmer either, nor am I a regular Windows user, at least
not for a few years.  Perhaps I should let a more experienced Windows
use speak to the efficacy of File>>Exit, as opposed to the close box.  I
will note that it has been discussed a number of times in these groups
in the past.

I would think that ctrl+q would have the same effect as File>>Exit,
though again perhaps a more experienced Windows user should comment.
