Software, too, is produced by humans and sometimes contains crap.

While the page in question
<http://www.daytondailynews.com/entertainment/holidays/halloween/beggars/>
does indeed have both XHTML and CSS errors, it is well known that the
Print component of Core has problems.

Try printing the following of my pages, all of which have no HTML or CSS
errors when tested with the W3C validators:
        <http://www.rossde.com/internet/Webdevelopers.html>
        <http://www.rossde.com/PGP/pgp_keyserv.html>
        <http://rossde.com/test/large_tables.html>
All of these pages contain tables and show printing problems similar to
what Jim Dell reports as well as other printing problems.

Be sure that this problem will never be corrected.
I had the same problem when using Netscape in the past.
Developers correct bugs they want not necessary those who are important for the end-user.
