Post as a new topic altogether to lessen any confusion. Most everyone
replying thinks it was part of the thread in question, just a subject
change.

Post a new topic, no confusion there.

Users that mark as read and return to the thread later rely on effective
quoting of what has preceded. Forums are different in this respect. This
isn't a forum.

No anger, just trying to maintain chronological order and relevance to
the topic posted so that others reading can maintain the same order,
etc. and better support. There are a lot more readers than posters.

Google Groups doesn't automatically remove quotes but rather gives the
option to include a quote. And that's where most of the "rub" occurs
since users posting via Google Groups miss the option.

I have no intention of adding you to a kill list, ridiculous assumption.

I don't impose any rules, there are no rules, only guidelines:

We're here for the user that needs help and we do whatever it takes to
make the experience useful and rewarding for everyone involved.

Going against the grain and constantly rebuking guidelines to satisfy
one's own ideas is quite a bit more intolerant and hindering to
providing useful support to everyone participating as well as those lurking.

Yah, the Model-T is quite slow and archaic but it gets there. ;-)
