With-in SM, go to Tools->Switch Profiles->Manage Profiles->Create
Profile, give it a distinctive name, then on that screen click on
"Choose Folder", and find where you saved the old profiles location then
select one level above that, so that the profile is a sub-folder of
where you tell SM to look.
i.e. If your profile files are in the directory
C:\Personal\Internet\old_one\profile location, you would tell SM to look
in C:\Personal\Internet\old_one

I am sure I did not do it that way. I chose the copied folder itself
(e.g. profilename.salt), not its parent folder.
Yep, so your profilname.salt level is equivalent to my old_one
level....all the profile stuff is really contained in sub-directories.
I was actually copying a profile from a Windows 7 machine to an XP
machine, but I do not see that would make any difference
I don't know if it matters either...wouldn't expect so!
