I have (linux):
$ apt-cache policy adobe-flashplugin
adobe-flashplugin:
Installed: 10.1.102.65-2lucid1
Candidate: 10.1.102.65-2lucid1
Version table:
*** 10.1.102.65-2lucid1 0
500 http://archive.canonical.com/ lucid/partner Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Which is the most recent version for 32bit linux:
Download Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Flash Player version 10.1.102.65
Linux
But SeaMonkey (and Firefox) show:
SeaMonkey 2.0.11:
Shockwave Flash
File name: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102
Firefox 3.6.13:
Shockwave Flash
File: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
Version:
Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102
so the plugin checker thinks my flash needs updating for both.
Looks like it's taking the strings from Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102 in the
file:
$ strings /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so | grep 10.1
FlashPlayer_10_1_102_65_FlashPlayer
Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102
10.1
Flash Player 10.1
<AdobeIP#A0000904_Flash Player 10.1>
LNX 10,1,102,65
and perhaps instead use "FlashPlayer_10_1_102_65_FlashPlayer"
Don't know if it's a Mozilla issue, or the way that Flash reports it's
version.
