When you zoom in a tab, it does not apply to the other tabs. It does
not even apply to a tab launched from the tab where you zoomed. That
is, if you zoom on a page and then select a link on that page to open in
a new tab, the zoom will not apply to that new tab. I believe this is
per design.

If you want a permanent zoom for text, consider changing your minimum
font size. On the SeaMonkey menu bar, select [Edit > Preferences]. On
the Preferences window, on the left side under Categories, select
[Appearance > Fonts]. On the Fonts pane, next to "Minimum font size",
use the selection list to set a minimum.

Alternatively, install the PrefBar extension from
<http://prefbar.mozdev.org/>. Enable the Font+ and Font- buttons. You
might also want to download the added Font Reset button from
<http://prefbar.tuxfamily.org/buttons.html#fontreset>. This latter
button restores your default font size when you forget how many times
you have used Font+ or Font-.
