Thanks, Rufus! After everyone's replies I'm inclined to believe that's
what I need. I think I may have blocked the last one offered, after
reading about all the tracking in it. :)

It couldn't hurt!

You can block Flash cookies, you know. If you go to the Flash Settings Manager and just dis-allow cookies, storage by websites, and set all of the storage settings to zero, you're home free - just click though each tab and set appropriately. Pictures with sill load, movies will still play - but they'll stream instead of cache, if I understand it -

That's how I run.  I also run with my SeaMonkey cache space set to zero.
