It seems that even though there are "Custom" fields in the address book, there is now way to search on them, so they are worthless as keywords in that way, and there is no "keywords" field provided.

This would make it really easy to grab just certain records to identify people who share some characteristic. The obvious workaround is to misuse some field like "department," but that has legitimate uses as do the other fields.

Before you say something without thinking... adding another field like keywords would change the database, at least dumped in LFIF format, but adding the ability to do "custom" search in the search tool would not. The last time I asked about this I was told that it "would break all existing address books," which of course it doesn't.

Or does no one else want to send to the people who have an interest in common?
