The problem is NOT Flash. The problem is sniffing for "Firefox" instead
of "Gecko". Actually, the problem is sniffing for a browser instead of
making a Web page that complies with the W3C HTML specifications. The
Web site is faulty.

How do I know this? I tried the page with SeaMonkey 2.0.14 and got the
same problem as FDVS. I then terminated SeaMonkey, cleared any cookies
related to USAToday, and restarted SeaMonkey. I then used PrefBar to
spoof Firefox 3.6.17, and saw the animated graphic.

Why does this work with SeaMonkey 2.1b3? SeaMonkey 2.1 (and its beta
versions, including 2.1b3) automatically spoof Firefox.
