Not sure about 2.2 (I'm using 2.1) but right clicking on the primary
news server (news.mozilla.org) and then clicking
Settings|news.mozilla.org|Server Settings|Ask me before...
Or
Edit|Mail& Newsgroups...|news.mozilla.org|Server Settings|Ask me before...
Are those not available on 2.2?
