4 months?

I am unaware of any other service that requires you to wait
4 months before they close your account.

BTW:  If you use your account in any way, they reset the
counter to zero.

I could live with them shutting-down the account immediately,
then if they need a little time to archive for some bizarre
(and fully-disclosed) reason, fine.  But don't play the 40
days of non-use and back to zero game.  It is obvious that
that is self-serving.

As far as I'm aware, sites are required to keep personal data for some
time before removing it completely just for legal reasons. They should
be able to provide the data to authorities which have the right to
request it.
