The problem is that there were only two sizes of the Sync icon
available, 16x16 and 32x32. For the bigger one, there was no throbber at
all. There is no artist/designer among the SeaMonkey developers so we
decided to use what we had, and I created the 32x32 throbber by resizing
the 16x16 throbber (which sounds easier than it was, given that tools
support for APNG is very bad).
So I fear that even if you manage to resize the bigger icon to fit the
other icons on the SM toolbar (which should actually be doable, given
that it's downsizing rather than scaling up), you'd have to repeat the
work for the throbber, which is much more work (multiple frames).
Incidentally, I changed my setup to "small icons" and now the Sync icon
looks MUCH better, totally at home among the others.
Sure, since for this size we had original/complete artwork.
