There are free FTP programs, you know. Both free and libre.
The best-known is probably FileZilla -- http://filezilla-project.org
FireFTP is an extension to add richer FTP functionality to Firefox.
Philip Chee has a version ported to Seamonkey (including 2.1):

Looked for FireFTP on AMO, but couldn't find it. The one I did find was
incompatible with SM 2.2, so didn't recommend it. Philip's installed
with no problem.
Completely forgot about FileZilla.
Still won't touch Composer with a 100 mile pole.
