Don't think so, that's exactly what I said in my "address book broken" post a few days ago. Something is mightily broken. I was told by email that it was only in Linux and I should go to Windows, obviously by someone with zero comprehension.
On the other hand we have the enhanced version update system, which probably (as predicted) means it must ship, working or not.
Last but not least: I have the feeling that it would be welcomed by many if someone would sit down and give the address book and its functions a complete new shape and functionality.
Please, no change in the UI for the sake of change, clearly there aren't enough resources to even keep the old functionality working.
