Thank you for clarifying, any hope that the Tbird team will accept what
fixes are in SM, or are they incompatible.

We need to fix it on our end; the change in shared code will hardly be
rolled back. As I said, I already provided a fix but it's not getting
the attention it deserves, unfortunately. Not much I can do there.

It seems to be broken in Tbird as well, but I only installed it to test, not to
use.

The trunk tracker is a great idea, is the frequency of your posts
throttled by politics or lack of time? ;-)

There is no politics involved since it's my blog (and mine alone). I
just don't have the time to maintain it, given that I'm not only a
part-time SM developer but now also the website maintainer, which
involves website updates and release notes for every version, plus all
the recent Wiki stuff (FAQ, AddonCompat etc.). I guess I'll get back to
it some day, but certainly not at the level of detail of former times.

Lack of time is a valid reason, what you do is more important.

We are not out of the woods yet, but we know the direction and have
taken the first step. The steps are many, but finite in number, and if
we persevere we will reach our destination. -me, 2010
